Privacy Policy

In short: your scripts, recordings, captions and settings stay on your device. We don't show ads, sell data, or use third-party tracking or analytics. We don't ask for your name or email.
This policy explains how the Saycue app (“Saycue”, “the app”, “we”) handles information. Saycue is developed by Melik Yalçınkaya, an individual developer, who is responsible for the data processing described here.
Data stored on your device
Your scripts, video and audio recordings, captions and app settings are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers. If you choose to export or share a recording, it goes wherever you send it.
Camera and microphone
Saycue asks for camera and microphone access only to record video and audio, and to power voice tracking (scrolling the script as you speak). You can turn these permissions off at any time in your device settings; recording or voice tracking will then be unavailable.
Voice tracking
Voice tracking uses your device's built-in speech recognition service: Google on Android and Apple on iOS. Depending on your device and settings, your speech may be processed by these providers, including on their servers, under their own privacy policies. We do not receive or store this audio or its transcription.
AI assistant
When you use the AI assistant, the topic or text you enter is sent through our server (hosted on Supabase in the EU – Ireland) to OpenRouter, which forwards it to Google Gemini to generate a response. We do not store or log the content of your requests or the responses. OpenRouter and Google process the request under their own terms and privacy policies.
To enforce usage limits, our server keeps a random anonymous identifier and a usage count. This identifier is not linked to your name, email or contact details, and we never ask for them.
Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are purchased and processed by Google Play or the App Store. We use RevenueCat to verify your subscription status; it receives purchase information from the store together with an anonymous app user ID. We never see or store your payment card or billing details.
What we don't do
- No advertising.
- We don't sell or rent your data.
- No third-party tracking or analytics SDKs in the app.
This website
getsaycue.com does not use cookies, analytics or trackers. It is hosted on Netlify and loads the Inter font from Google Fonts, so these providers may process your IP address as part of delivering the page.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device. To delete the anonymous AI usage record kept on our server, email support@getsaycue.com. Subscription records held by Google, Apple and RevenueCat are subject to their own retention rules.
Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU or UK), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Contact us to exercise them.
Children
Saycue is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
